Since the iPhone Pro models introduced LiDAR scanning, I've been testing various apps that can create 3D scans. Yes, you can now do it very well with the iPhone, and if you take your time with the scan, you can achieve excellent results. I started with small objects, but you can also scan entire rooms very effectively. Therefore, I currently do location scans of the party/event spaces where I DJ every now and then. Here you can see the results...
This gives you a good idea of what the room looks like and where you could potentially position the DJ. But you can also scan other things, and the possibilities are very diverse. A small side note: glass or glass bottles don't really work. I'm also not giving a specific app recommendation, as everyone should test and choose for themselves, since you can also further process the scan data in various programs. What I would like to see in all apps in the future is that the photo information is better combined and merged with the LiDAR data, so that we can truly speak of proper photogrammetry. Overall, the development of all iPhone apps is definitely heading in the right direction, and I'm already looking forward to the next leap in quality...
