Musical inspirations

As a DJ and producer, you don't develop your own musical style in a vacuum. Every sound, every melody, and every beat is the result of influences, inspirations, and encounters with the music of other artists. In this blog post, I want to offer a glimpse behind the scenes and show which musicians shape my sound, why their work is so important to me, and how they have influenced my path as a producer and DJ.

The roots: Electronic music of the 90s and 2000s

My first musical experiences were with techno and house music of the 90s. Artists like Paul Kalkbrenner, Westbam, and Sven Väth not only shaped the club sound in Germany but also decisively influenced my approach to electronic music. Paul Kalkbrenner's ability to combine emotion and minimalism, in particular, has profoundly shaped my own approach to melodic house and techno production.

Afro House & Global Beats

In recent years, I've discovered my love for Afro House– a genre that captivates with its rhythmic percussion, organic sounds, and cultural diversity. Artists like Black Coffee, &ME, and Hyenah have set new standards here, demonstrating how to blend traditional influences with modern club music. This mix of energy, spirituality, and groove constantly inspires me to create new tracks that resonate both on the dance floor and through headphones.

Melodic House & Cinematic Sounds

Another major influence comes from the realm of melodic house and melodic techno. Musicians like ARTBAT, Solomun, and Mind Against manage to create an almost cinematic atmosphere with their productions. This blend of emotional harmonies, epic breaks, and powerful drops has significantly shaped my own working method in the studio. My tracks are meant to tell stories—with beats that take the listener on a journey.

Cross-genre inspirations

Besides electronic music, I also draw inspiration from completely different genres. Classical music with its orchestral elements, hip-hop with its urban vibes, and ambient sounds that create space for depth and emotion – all of this flows into my productions. For me, music is always a dialogue between past and present, between different cultures and soundscapes.

Conclusion: Inspiration as the engine of creative energy

My sound is a mosaic of influences – from the pioneers of the techno era to the innovators of Afro house, and on to genre-crossing artists who embrace diversity. These inspirations are not only the foundation of my work, but also the driving force behind my constant exploration of new musical avenues.
