METAL Wedding

A metal wedding isn't exactly an everyday occurrence, but I've already done three, and I have to say it's always a highlight for me in the otherwise very copy-and-paste-heavy wedding business. Since I have two musical passions – I produce electronic music myself, but also listen to both in my free time (and sometimes even DJ) and enjoy "guitar-heavy" music in certain clubs – I always find heavy metal and rock weddings very refreshing.

As you can see, the approach to decorations and color scheme is completely different. While white is still the bride's most popular choice in Western cultures, for example, in Asia it's the color of death and mourning, and therefore unwelcome at weddings. That's why I always appreciate it when weddings incorporate other color concepts, and I think black and red go perfectly with inflatable guitars (as you can see in the photo).

Furthermore, I think it's great that musical subcultures are increasingly being used as wedding themes. For me as a DJ, this has the advantage that nobody wants "Atemlos" (Breathless), except perhaps in a death metal version, which I'm not familiar with. Secondly, you need to know the genre to throw a party where the older guests aren't forgotten, and that's difficult, if not impossible, to find with hobby DJs, music hoarders, Spotify playlist DJs, and DJs with attached electronics shops...

Here I always think of a sentence that a managing director I greatly valued and respected, who is now unfortunately retired, once said to me:

"You can buy technology, but not passion, knowledge and experience..." and that's how it is...
