When stories turn into a shared evening: On Saturday, 14 November 2026, the first Munich Book Fair makes its debut at MTC Munich. I am delighted to DJ the after-show party – an evening for independent authors, self-publishers, book lovers and anyone who is not ready to head home after the final chapter.
Discover books, then celebrate together
During the day, the fair is all about new stories and meeting people. In the evening, those conversations find a different rhythm: put the books aside, get talking and come together on the dance floor. As Robert James Perkins, I will provide the soundtrack for that transition from a day at the fair to a night of celebration.
Whether you write books, are looking for your next favourite novel or simply fancy a special night out, you are welcome. For me, that mix is what makes the evening exciting: people with different stories sharing the same dance floor.
You can attend the party without a book fair ticket
The party can be booked separately. You do not need a ticket for the daytime fair. The official Reservix shop offers a dedicated category called “After Party MBM”. If you cannot make it during the day, you can still join us in the evening. Select the appropriate party ticket when booking; a daytime fair ticket does not replace a party ticket.

From Stuttgart to Munich: a fair rooted in the book community
The Munich premiere is organised by Ann-Katrin Zellner and Stefan Zeh. Both are crime writers and also organise the Stuttgart Book Fair. The connection goes beyond a shared name: Munich is the new sister event from the same organisers.
The focus is on the variety of books beyond the major publishing houses, with independent authors, self-publishers and small presses. The Munich edition brings that idea to MTC for the first time in 2026: discovering books, meeting the people behind them and starting conversations. Readings, workshops and other activities complement the fair. Bringing everyone together for a celebration in the evening feels like a natural extension of that idea.
